Size: 3mm and 6mm. There may be regional variation.

Shape: The body is long and the legs are thin. 

Nutrition: They feed on blood. Females suck blood and males feed on plant juice.

Habitat: They live in the tropical region. Africa, Asia, South America and the Middle East.

Threats from Anofel Mosquitoes

Malaria:The most important disease it transmits is Malaria. Female species carry the Plasmodium parasite. This parasite causes malaria. When a mosquito bites an infected person, it picks up the parasite and transmits it to other people through biting.
